Meet the Cook Family

Janice Cook
I spent 2 years as a K-5 teacher and 10 years as a 6-8 teacher. I began creating resources to support teachers and met many other teacher business owners who love supporting the world of education in the same way. Over time I took the organizational puzzle solving that was my superpower as a band director and applied it to the teacherpreneur space, supporting businesses in a behind the scenes capacity.

Sam of Sam’s Penguins
Have you noticed that I like to draw penguins? I’ve been drawing them since I was 9-years old. It was mostly doodling, until I started drawing digital versions with clothes in college. Despite my limited artistic ability at the time, my deep love of comics led me to eventually turn them into a comic strip. Since then, I’ve been focusing on developing my drawing abilities and have even learned to draw more than just penguins! My goal is to bring you high-quality hand-drawn resources that will bring a unique style to your classroom.
Outside of drawing, I keep busy in my day job as a librarian and hanging out with our kids. I have a college degree in clarinet performance, which never fails to confuse people when I mention it, and I love both nachos and Jurassic Park more than I probably should.
You can find me and the rest of my artwork on Twitter, Instagram, or on my website.
I hope that my artwork can spark conversation for your students and keep them engaged as they work.
